Eleven-year-old Sawyer Nelson becomes fascinated by the efforts of a local aquarium to save Winter, a dolphin injured in a crab trap. Sawyer convinces a marine biologist and a prosthetist to create a new tail for Winter so that she may have a second chance at life.
